The government of UAE has declared this year as the “year of giving”, as an educational institution which caters to civic and moral standards of the law of the land, New Indian School organized a student drive as part of its outreach programs in the community on 29th of October 2017. The students of New Indian School, UAQ visited nearly 44 employees of Golden Fork Company at their labor camp. The students in collaboration with the school were able to collect 638 kg of non-perishable food items and donate it to the laborers’ who were stranded and have been struggling for the past six months.
The team comprised of the Principal, Mr.Sajad Saheer (Social Worker and J.Sec. IAU) Admin.Manager, teachers and students. The Principal Mr. Rafeeq Rahim handed over the collected items on behalf of the school. The initiative was spearheaded by the Department of Science and Moral Education under the leadership of Ms.Rani Mathew and Mr.Dony Joseph.
